OUR STORY
UNDERSTAND THE RICE
AND SHARE THIS PASSION

It was in 2015 that Jacques, rice farmer, son and grandson of rice farmer, created the Maison du Riz, a unique concept in this Camargue land, representing the passion and the transmission of a know-how from several generations.
With Françoise, they built everything : the Mas de la Vigne, five holidays lodges, 500 ha of rice farm, a boutique and the museum.

It is here that Jacques,Françoise and their children : Jean-Philippe and Marine, rice ambassador and today heading the Maison du Riz, share all their family moments and meet the public to share this common passion.

A family whose greatest pleasure is to produce the best Camargue rice, raised on respected soil and available in very personal ranges : the perfumed rice, black rice... And have the pleasure to present them to the public .

After the harvest we begin to work the fields and maintain the water systems. Leveling the land and preparing the soil is are done in spring before flooding the fields in April.
